BMW Art Cars and Wallpapers

Posted in Art, Cars, Inspirational by CreativeForces on February 25, 2009

The BMW Art Car Project was started by the French racecar driver Herve Poulain in 1975. His first idea was to have his BMW racing car painted in an unique way, and the man hired for the job, was the American artist Alexander Calder. Over time, there were many contributors to the BMW Car Art program, names that include: Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, Frank Stella, David Hockney or Jenny Holzer. SOURCE

The show has been going around for quite some time, yet BMW Blog has just put together a series of hi res wallpapers of these BMW art cars which can downloaded for enthusiasts to enjoy in case you do not get the chance to see them for real. Link Here
